Brittany Murphy Named to Executive Committee of Salvation Army Young Leaders Advisory Council

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Brittany Murphy, account manager at Pinckney Hugo Group, has been appointed to the executive committee of The Salvation Army Young Leaders Advisory Council. Murphy was named the nominations chair and is responsible for member recruitment and retention.

The Salvation Army Young Leaders Advisory council consists of more than 40 young professionals and seeks to recruit the next generation of leaders that will have a positive impact in Syracuse. Members help raise awareness locally for The Salvation Army and its services that impact over 38,000 Onondaga County residents in need each year. As a group, the council plans and conducts annual fundraising events, including the Turn-Around Jumpers Basketball Tournament and Family Dance, to raise funds for the nonprofit organization. Murphy has been a member of the council for three years.

As an account manager, Murphy is responsible for interacting with agency clients, helping them plan and execute marketing strategies and tactics. She has a bachelor’s degree in communication studies, with a concentration in public relations and advertising, from the State University of New York at Cortland.
