SYRACUSE, N.Y. – UTC Climate, Controls & Security won a 2018 Platinum PR Award from PR News in the global public relations campaign category for its “HEALTHfx: The Benefits of Green Buildings: Energy, Emissions and Health” campaign. The campaign also received honorable mention recognition with the marketing communications category. Pinckney Hugo Group provided support on infographics, social media graphics and a microsite for the campaign.
UTC Climate, Controls & Security partnered with Harvard University in 2017 to sponsor and conduct academic research in order to better understand the health and climate effects of green-certified buildings over a 16-year period in six countries. Known as HEALTHfx, the study found nearly $6 billion in combined health and climate benefits. Through the launch of the campaign, the results were made public in early 2018. The campaign featured media relations, sustainability-focused podcasts, digital and social media efforts, infographics, a microsite and a comprehensive toolkit of resources for internal employees.
